Slum Survivor |
As part of the anniversary celebrations, a group of about 20 volunteers spent 24 hours experiencing what it is like to live in a slum. They had to build their own huts, cooked and ate their own slum food, and took part in several simulations, including a soccer game where the 'developed countries' team had the rules twisted to favour them. Here's a picture of some of the 'slum-survivors' in front of their huts.

Fantastic photos you guys!
The slum survivor thing looks quite good fun from where I'm sitting, but I don't know if I could stand all those mosquitoes at night with no protection, not even a door to shut them out.
What were they doing with all those crushed bricks? - looks like they're trying to pave part of the field!
