| 2 friends who had been teaching English in China, visited us this weekend. Strictly speaking, neither were actually teaching, as they were more involved in managing the summer camps that they were involved in, but they certainly helped facilitate a lot of learning.
Mike was involved in this program for 2 years in 2000-1, and it has been fun to see it develop each year, and to meet up with new and past teachers as they pass through Hong Kong. You can read more about the program, formerly called OSEC and now ISEC, at their website (www.isec.org.uk).
One of the guys had to be at the airport at 7, so we had an early 5.45am start on Sunday! |
