Koala building |
There's a pair of building in Hong Kong that were apparently designed by an Australian architect to resemble Koalas climbing up the side of the building. The buildings are called the Lippo Centre and are located in Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island. I can't remember where I first heard this fact, but it seems that wikipedia agrees on the Koala features (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lippo_Centre,_Hong_Kong), but says that the architect was American, and it was the owner of the building, Australian Alan Bond, that requested that the Koalas be included. |
