Transit of Mercury |
I found out, too late, that a Transit of Mercury took place this morning. This occurs when Mercury comes between the Earth and the Sun. During the transit, Mercury can be observed as a small black dot moving across the Sun's disc.
On average, there are 13 transits of Mercury each century, but for the next transit observable in Hong Kong we'll have to wait til 13 November 2032! |
