| World Cup XI: England v Sweden |
| We're top of our group! 2-2 against Sweden. I'm still a bit jetlagged after getting back from the UK on Sunday night, so fell asleep straight after work at 6pm last night, waking up just in time to see the England match. It was certainly worth it, with a great England performance. Fantastic Joe Cole goal after a great 1st half for him. Sweden really tried to crowd him out but still couldn't stop him scoring. Then a great header from Gerrard crossed to him by FIFA man of the match Joe Cole. We were rubbish for the Swedish corners, from which their 1st goal came and we conceeded a silly late goal. But the only way is up! The draw leaves us top of our group, so we will meet Ecuador instead of Germany in the next round. That'll do nicely. Then things get tough with either Holland or Argentina in the quarter final. |
