Liverpool 3 - 0 Tottenham |
We happened to catch the last half hour of the Liverpool game on Saturday while grabbing a bite to eat. We sat down just as Spurs missed a sitter that they should have put away, and then Craig Bellamy did the same at the other end only to watch Gonzalez hit the rebound in straight over his shoulder! Two more great goals from the new Dutch signing, Kuyt, and John Arne Riise sealed the win. Riise seemed to perfectly time his shot from 35 yeards so that the Spurs defender was right between him and the goalkeeper. Those sort of shots are so difficult for the 'keeper to save, and I'm sure Riise, being a defender, knew this. |
